“Somewhere along the line, I started thinking that if I just got through this bad experience, this bad day, that tomorrow I’d have something better, brighter, newer.
I still believe that. I still believe that there’s something good out there for me. I just have to keep going until my time comes.” – 3.75/5 stars!
Attention! This book contains: strip clubs, makeup bags, drugs, shopping sprees, a bag of money, bets, punches, new cars and parties.
Nothing like a good romance novel to take me out of a reading slump!
I confess I knew the covers for this series for a very long time but I didn’t know what the books were about. So one day I was on Youtube, looking for romance recommendations and I stumble across a recommendation for this book. So, of course, I had to pick it up!
This book follows this girl named Ella, who went through a lot from a young age. Both of her parents died, and she has to strip to survive while going to school every day. Then Callum Royal – her dad’s best friend – comes to the rescue and brings her to live in his mansion with him and his sons – the Royals. At first she is very skeptical and scared because the boys are giving her a hard time, but eventually things start to cool down and everyone starts to get along.
I don’t know exactly what gripped me to the story, but I would say… probably the characters. I loved every single character, even the mean ones. And I don’t know why, but I really like to read about characters with a lot of siblings! Oh, and I also enjoyed that the story is a slow burning romance. I’m not about insta love!
Not gonna lie, there is some slut shaming in this book, and it’s not a perfect book overall. Is it a book full of content? Well, no. Are you going to learn something from it? Probably not. Is it a book to read just for fun? Absolutely. I was addicted to it and I wanted to know what was going to happen next, so finished it quickly in a couple of days. Again, not perfect, but I had a great time reading it! I’m definitely picking up the next book.
